Jan uses her practice to interrogate line within a range of media and space. Graduating from UON with 1st class degree in Fine Art, Jan’s work has concentrated on site specific installations where her use of tape has taken often forgotten spaces into the fore, challenging the architecture and the arena itself with artwork that is vibrant and ephemeral.

Nominated as part of the Graduate Platform Award 2019, Jan’s recent exhibitions include Project Space, MK Gallery, Project Space NN Contemporary and Free Range London 2019. With a studio at Arts Central Jan now uses the studio corridors to experiment and expand her tape installations.

Jan takes the essence of the installations into smaller tape works and print series both photographic and screen print. Influenced by many including Agnes Martin and Sol LeWitt, Jan continues to expand her use of media to include thread currently working on a series throughout the isolation 2020.
